INSPIRATION
"I am not African because I was born in Africa but because Africa was born in me".~Kwame Nkrumah
I can't count how many times I have read this quote in my lifetime, but it always hits me like the first time I ever saw it. This Passport cover is very personal, as my dying desire is to connect the world together and make it a better place but more importantly for me, Connecting Africa and the Diaspora together as global Citizens of Africa — this has been my purpose long before fashion.
PHILOSOPHY
“I don’t believe in an African dream without the Diaspora being a part of the AFRICA Dream.” - Archyn Orijin
Not to be political but it can also open up the visible and invisible borders, creating more opportunities for advancements mirroring the visions that Kwame Nkrumah, Marcus Garvey, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, Toni Morrison, Harriet Tubman, Madam C.J Walker, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou and what many of our Black Star ancestors would hope to see in our day and age, and what I hope has them celebrating in the Skies as they see the legacy they fought for us to have.
I pray the United states of Africa passport cover paves way for a needed conversation beyond Orijin Culture’s fashion brand with an amplifying and unifying message from our ancestors to all of us as African descendants worldwide no matter our destination.
In my dream, the “Africa Dream” is Africa and the Diaspora together as one AFRICA.

The Africa Bag was never just an idea. It began as a vision.
A dream of a woman walking with Africa on her back—carrying it not as weight, but as presence. That vision became a four-year journey. A pursuit to create something that had never been done before.
Today, it lives as our signature—an Africa-shaped piece recognized around the world, paving the way for all our rich cultural collections.
What began as a dream now breathes statements.
The Journey
Named by ESSENCE MAGAZINE Essence Magazine as “the Black-owned label reshaping the luxury bag,” this path has been one of discipline, sacrifice, and belief.
A journey of turning impossibilities into form.
Of finding beauty in imperfection.
Of creating with purpose—even through personal trials.
What we build is not just fashion. It is a quiet shift in how Africa is seen, worn, and understood.
Philosophy
“I am not African because I was born in Africa. I am African because Africa is born in me—and in my style.”
